About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more.  

About the Role

The City of Port Phillip is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Application Support Analyst with Pathway and/or Technology One experience to join our Digital and Technology Services Application Management team. Experience in providing level 2 technical support and application management skills are essential. Strong time management and prioritisation skills along with a wiliness to learn new systems and processes are critical to be successful in this role.

Duties:

• Provide expert advice on Pathway and/or Technology One, proactively work with all business functions to understand and fulfil Council needs

• Support the day to day administrative and maintenance of Pathway and/or Technology One.

• Provide ‘Level 2 ICT support to users of the Council’s applications including; configuration, enhancements, maintenance and responding to customer requests to support business operations in pathway and/or technology One

• Provide expert written, verbal or face to face advice and hands on support and training to customers in specialised business applications such as Infor Pathway, Infor ePathway, TechnologyOne, Intramaps, HPE Content Manager. 

• Investigate and identify application problems through root cause analysis and swiftly implement preventative and corrective solutions. Leverage innovation and process improvement in problem solving as appropriate. Communicate findings with the Application Management team  in order to foster a continuous improvement culture and capability. 

Skills and Experience 

• An experienced application analyst with a proven track record in providing ‘Level 2’ ICT Support for users, whilst ensuring, the management, maintenance, and continual improvement of Pathway and/or technology One

• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to articulate and explain complicated technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work, in order to deliver results within agreed timing, quality and budget targets.

• Demonstrate a strong capability to conduct investigation, root cause analysis and solve complex problems and issues with innovative processes and solutions. 

• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of system design and proven methods of increasing performance in specific applications. 

• Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of Pathway and/or Technology One

• Bachelor’s degree (or relevant tertiary degree) in a Computer or Information Science field. Certifications (e.g. ITIL) are viewed favourably.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience as a Project Manager within the HVAC / Air Conditioning industry

  • Wholesalers background preferred but not essential 
  • Ability to oversee numerous projects at any given time 
  • HVAC / Air Conditioning degree or qualification
  • Construction / Project Management degree preferred
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Australian experience and full working rights are Essential
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full Drivers License
