Salary: $72,664 + Super 
Full-time position; Maximum Term to 30 June 2021

Location: Based in Alice Springs 

About the Opportunity

The Primary Health Care Support Coordinator is a dual role to support the activities of the NT HealthPathways and Clinical Education teams. The role is responsible for supporting the day to day operations and administration of both programs. 

NT HealthPathways is an on-line information portal, which supports local clinicians to access up to date assessment and management guides to support the patient’s journey through the NT Health System. This role supports the program manager and Clinical Advisors to ensure HealthPathways continues to grow in number, in relevance and provide better health outcomes for Territorians. 

In addition, the NT PHN Clinical Education team plan, coordinate and deliver a portfolio of continuing professional development (CPD) events to support the education needs for health professionals in the Northern Territory (NT). This role will provide learning and administrative and support to the Clinical Education lead in delivering a range of multi-disciplinary CPD accredited activities across both digital and face-to- face platforms. 

About You

As the successful candidate, you will be a passionate and engaging administrator with an interest and experience in health care and outcomes. You will have:

  • Experience in a similar role or training/ qualifications in administration, training or similar field 
  • High level organisational skills, with demonstrated initiative and ability to adapt to changing situations 
  • Ability to apply structured thinking with an attention to detail 
  • Ability to take responsibility for own outputs in relation to specified quality standards, including meeting deadlines. 
  • Experience in shared email mailbox and calendar management, including high level Microsoft Office knowledge and skills (including mail merging)   
  • Ability to learn a wide range of digital platforms (eg SharePoint, DOT administration tool, CoreDNA, Citrix GoTo Meeting and Microsoft Teams ).  
  • High level written and spoken communication skills, including development of reports and external communications (promotional material, etc).  
  • Experience applying a solutions-based approach in assisting key stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities effectively

The Family Dispute Resolution Service (‘FDRS’) conferencing program assists people experiencing family breakdown reach a legally binding agreement in Family Law matters. 

Applications are sought for the above position to provide efficient and effective administrative/secretarial support for FDRS.  The position involves data entry, typing, assisting clients in person and by telephone and to provide general information and assistance.

The Commission’s conditions of employment are similar to those existing in the Northern Territory Public Service.
